THE SCIO AND ENERGY MEDICINE (continued)
by Antera

Energy Medicine

The SCIO does energy medicine, also called vibrational medicine or vibrational healing, as opposed to allopathic medicine, comprised of drugs and surgery, which is practiced by modern medical doctors in this country. Here, energy medicine is called alternative medicine, whereas in China and other places, allopathy is called alternative.

Mainstream medicine treats humans as if they were simply sophisticated biological machines. In a machine, the function of the whole can be predicted by the sum of its parts. Conventional medicine thinks it can cure an illness by physically repairing or eliminating abnormal cellular systems.

Vibrational healing modalities, instead, are based on the idea that humans are more than the physical body, that there is an animating life force energy that maintains and organizes the body. This energy can't be seen by most people, and it isn't easily measured scientifically, but it creates organization and synergy, and the living whole is greater than the sum of its physical parts. Because of this recognition that consciousness participates in the continuous creation of either health or illness, vibrational medicine attempts to heal illness and transform human consciousness by working with the energetic patterns that guide the physical expression of life. Treatments are with pure energy.

Newtonian vs. Einsteinian Worldview

Modern medicine is based on what is called the Newtonian worldview. Newtonian physics explained the world very well in terms of physical systems interacting with each other. At the time these ideas were developed, and on through the Industrial Age, it was a very useful and applicable framework, as everything in the universe was looked at in terms of mechanics. Even humans were looked at as complex physical machines.

Energy medicine is based on the Einsteinian worldview. Einstein's work showed us that energy and matter are the same. Matter is simply energy that is vibrating at such a slow rate that it appears to us to be solid. Our physical senses are tuned to a minutely small range of vibrational frequencies on the electromagnetic spectrum. More and more of that spectrum is slowly being revealed to us as we expand our ability to measure, but still there are many frequencies that we can't directly measure. This means there is a lot happening in our space that we aren't aware of.

Quantum physics and other fields of science now validate what mystical wisdom has always taught. We now know that matter is frozen light, and subatomic particles do not obey the laws of Newtonian physics. The Newtonian view has been challenged and modified in many branches of science with our new knowledge of the highly complex nature of reality. Medical science is one of the last holdouts of the outdated view.

So why is medical science lagging behind? Before the early 1900s, most hospitals in the US were homeopathic hospitals. Then the Flexner Act was passed, backed by the pharmaceutical and petrochemical cartel, which made it illegal to teach anything but allopathy in medical schools. So for 100 years the control over our medical system has been by those who make big money from us being sick. These powerful money interests control the media and the American Medical Association (AMA). This continues in spite of the fact that according to the Journal of the AMA in 1998, allopathy is a major killer. Iatrogenic disease, which is disease caused by medical treatments, is listed as the number four killer in the US! Someone recently said that you are safer facing a man with a gun than you are with your doctor's advice.
